Target : Information technology education staff and other teaching staff (Priority will be given to information technology education staff.)

Objectives : To assist participants to be familiarised with the basic teaching methods and strategies of school education, understand the design and development process of multimedia computer-assisted teaching courseware, the development and management of computer teaching platform, computer classroom management skills and regulations, as well as the curriculum design suitable for the characteristics of different subjects.
Contents : 1. School Administration and Online Course Design (12 hours): Participants are assisted to be familiarised with school operation and management modes, as well as understand the application of information technology in educational administration and online course design.
2. Network Management of School Computers (12 hours): Participants are assisted to be familiarised with the work content of school network management, so that it is convenient for all the teachers and students in school to use. The learning content includes: the installation and setup of school network (including the optimum selection and setting of the host operating system, hardware and software), the monitoring and management of “network traffic”, the management of “network packet” (including filtering out and blocking spam or virus emails), the design and content requirements of school website, the management mechanism for various online accounts of all the teachers in school, the mechanism of technical support for teachers, and so forth.
3. Computer Room Management (6 hours): Participants are assisted to be familiarised with the management of computer rooms for information technology education, including the principles of purchasing hardware and software, regulations for teachers’ application for the use of computer rooms, recovery installation and maintenance management of the software, circulation control over the school network and computer room network, management of student online accounts, as well as setting rules for computer rooms.

Registration process : Holders of valid “Teacher’s Card” can register online through the “Teacher’s Chamber” on the DSEJ website (http://portal.dsej.gov.mo).For special duty personnel, school staffs and new teachers who have not got the “Teacher’s Card” yet, please complete the “Registration Form for Teaching Staff Training Activities” and submit (or fax) it to the Centre of Educational Resources.

candidates and waiting list
1. The admission/waiting list will be announced on the website of the Centre of Educational Resources on 2019/03/20
(http://www.dsej.gov.mo/cre/formacao).
2. SMS will be delivered to the admitted candidates who have registered a contact number in the system.
3. Should an admitted candidate withdraw from the programme, please notify Ms. Lei Meng Chu at 8395 9106 of the Centre of Educational Resources before 2019/03/22. The admitted alternates on the waiting list will be notified by telephone.

Certificate of Participation
A Module Certificate would be issued by The University of Macau if the participants have completed the assignments and achieved an attendance rate of 80%.
Remarks : 1. Calculation of the training hours:
­ This activity is included in the Professional Development Activities of Teaching Staff (Type 1), there are 30 hours will be calculated.
­ This programme is subsumed under the “Life-long Learning Award Scheme”.

2. Notification for changes of the class:
­ When Tropical Storm Warning Signal No. 3 is hoisted, all classes will continue as usual. When Tropical Storm Warning Signal No. 8 is still hoisted at 6:30 am, all morning classes/activities will be suspended. When Tropical Storm Warning Signal No. 8 is still hoisted at 11:30 am, all afternoon / evening classes/activities will be suspended.
­ If there is a change in the instructors, time or venue of the course, it will be announced together with the admission/waiting list on the website of the Centre of Educational Resources.

3. Issues about the class & attendance:
­ The various types of specific duty personnel must complete 120 to 150 hours of special duty training provided by the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau within three years of employment.
­ Only the admitted candidates are welcome to attend the programme.
­ Should an admitted candidate fail to attend a session, he/she will be considered absent for that session regardless of whether there is a valid reason or not.
­ Should an admitted candidate arrive after the first 30 minutes of a session /leave during a session for over 30 minutes /leave before the end of a session, he/she will be considered absent for that session.
­ If a teaching staff failed to attend training activity offered by the DSEJ, he/she will need to provide a declaration of absence with the confirmation from school, and submit it to the Centre of Educational Resources within 10 working days after the activity ends (except for those who have already requested for withdrawal within the specified time mentioned in the prospectus).
