Objectives : Introduce different methods and strategies to help teachers incorporate more active learning strategies in language classes to increase students’ language skills while keeping them motivated. The workshop will engage participants in specific, practical teaching strategies designed to model the use of active learning in the classroom and to provide participants with guidance and practice in student-centred learning techniques.

For new teachers who have not got the “Teacher’s Card” yet, please complete the “Registration Form for Teaching Staff Training Activities” and submit (or fax) it to the Centre of Educational Resources. of the list of successful
candidates and waiting list
1. The list of successful candidates and waiting list will be announced on the website of the Centre of Educational Resources on 2018/03/23, SMS will be delivered to the successful candidates.
2. Should a successful candidate withdraw from the programme, please notify Ms. Lei Meng Chu at 8395 9106 of the Centre of Educational Resources before 2018/04/06.

Certificate of Participation
The USJ will issue the diploma of participation to participants who complete successfully the course with the required minimum attendance rate (80%).
Remarks : 1. In the beginning of the course, the admitted candidates will be required to register online at the USJ website to make sure that they have a USJ email and password to access the online information. Personal information such as mobile telephone number and e-mail address will be required for the registration.
2. If there is a change in the instructors, time or venue of the course, it will be announced together with the list of successful candidates and waiting list on the website of the Centre of Educational Resources.
3. The admitted alternates on the waiting list will be notified by telephone.
4. The Registration Form for Teaching Staff Training Activities can be downloaded from the DSEJ website.
5. When Tropical Storm Warning Signal No. 3 is hoisted, all classes will continue as usual. When Tropical Storm Warning Signal No. 8 is still hoisted at 6:30 am, all morning classes/activities will be suspended. When Tropical Storm Warning Signal No. 8 is still hoisted at 11:30 am, all afternoon / evening classes/activities will be suspended.
6. Starting from the Academic Year 2012/2013, the number of hours of actual participation in training will be calculated only when the teaching staff has attended 80% or more of the training programme/activity and passed the assessment (if any). Should the teaching staff attend less than 80% or fail to pass the assessment, no training hours will be calculated for that training programme/activity regardless of any reasons.
7. Should an admitted candidate arrive after the first 30 minutes of a session or leave before the end of a session, he/she will be considered absent for that session.
8. Should an admitted candidate fail to attend a session, he/she will be considered absent for that session regardless of whether there is a valid reason or not.
